LITs Give Back

One of the highlights for our LITs (Leaders in Training) each summer is the community service projects they complete as a team.  This week, our LITs created layered dry soup jars for the Betsy and Peter Fischer Food Pantries.  The JFCS Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantries provide non-perishable food and personal care items to food-insecure households in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties. They have three food pantry locations to serve the needs of the community.

As our young teens entering 9 ^th graders learn about leadership, we think it is vital to instill in them a sense of giving back to those in need in our community.  We are proud to watch them get excited for these projects, knowing that the work they do makes a difference.  Together, our 2019 LITs created 108 soup jars to help families dealing with food insecurity right here in our community.
